Trexx flies back to the U.S. and heads to the beach

From Overcast, cool England with it's mysterious moors and lovely country side views to Oak Island, North Carolina. Which is hot, sunny and picturesque in a completely different way.

Totally different type of letterboxing, but still a lot of fun. This is Trexx, Blue Bunny and Farley's last adventure together; when the weekend is over the two visiting buddies head home. Trexx is careful to slather sunscreen on Farley and Blue Bunny and takes them to some exciting spots.

Oak Island has lots of peaceful, under used parks that are great for letterboxing. There is also an extremely fun series by MnMs4 that takes you on a trail that actually goes onto a beach. You'll see the picture here with the water on it. That was the trail when we returned; high tide had obviously come in! We had to wade across; such letterboxing adventures!

Nice Pics. We started vacationing at Sunset Beach 20+ years ago. Little by Little we gradually moved north. We stayed at Oak Island one year. Recently we are going to Topsail. Only 2 boxes there including the 1 we placed last year. I will try to add more when we go down next (4th of July?).

I usually get bored and run around while the others are on the beach. I will make a point of trying to find your boxes in that area next year.
